June 9, 2011 Last day in Quebec City.

Decided today to get the car out (from wherever they put it) and took off to La chute Montmorency Falls, about ten Min. drive out of town. Today was cloudy most of the day which really makes a difference with the photos. Nothing nicer than seeing that bright blue sky. The falls were nice but of cause not a patch on the Niagara Falls. All looked a little tame.

Then we drove over a big bridge to a large island in the middle of the river. Had a drive around part of it through Sainte-Petronille, Sainte-Laurent back through Sainte- Pierre back over the bridge, back to town. We met a young French girl (from France) and she had no transport and also wanted to go and see the Island so we included her in our drive and took her back to Quebec City. She was saying it all looked very much like France, very quaint and pretty area.

Once we dropped her off we went for a drive alone the river drive and then back up the hill and drove through a very big park on the upper level high above the river which is called Parc des Champs de Bataille which runs along up to the Citadelle. . The Military Area.
Parked the car and walked over to the Parlament building. Lovely old building walked right round it.

The parliament grounds have beautiful gardens with a big display of tulips. All very attractive.

My new friend I meet on Rue St-Joseph Est. The street that runs beside our Hotel where there are a few shops and eating places where we had dinner tonight. I had their famous ribs, Yummy.

Drove passed Lower Old City where we walked yesterday.
