Potatao fields
We found a beach with white sand, only seen red up to now.
Potato field note ship out at sea. Big car ferry but haven't found out where it was going to but the sign said it was 164kms away. Lots of cars and trucks waiting for it.
For the boys.
East Point
North Lake Harbour.
North Lake Harbour. Boats coming in with their catch of lobster.
Lobsters at North Lake Harbour where we brought our lobster flesh for dinner $18.lb
So cheap compared with home. There are just so many lobster boats in every port.
We found this road sign and area sign. True this place is called New Zealand.
This street runs through New Zealand. This as you can see a busy day in NZ. Eden Park to the left, All Blacks training Shopping Malls, Supermarkets. But no, actually just Pete, me and the black beast. In fact if you look hard you can see John Key and Phil Goff having a chin wag.
This is how most of the houses look. Perched in the middle of a large piece of land, no trees no gardens. Everyone gets out on their ride on mowers. We think that it might be because of all the snow they get up here, which probably would kill all gardens.
Stopped at St.Peters for a seafood chowder. Note the black beast in the backgrown.
No, not Pete, behind his right arm.
On the road at 8.50am only 12 deg. another cold day but at least its not raining like all day yesterday. We did the Points East costal drive which all up is 474kms but we took a few short cuts and then we didn't get back until 5.00pm. Long driving day for Pete, although we had lots of stops. We did 186 miles.
First stop Montaque small boat harbour. Lovely tree lined streets and stately homes. Then onto Georgetown another small fishing port but most of the boats were out getting the lobster. Never much life around in these small towns I suspose they are all out in their boats.
Along the coastline. Nice views but not a good photography day very cloudy in the morning but lucky the sun came out by afternoon.
Headed up to East Point. Went out to the lighthouse then starting down the north east coast to North Lake Harbour. The sun then came out and it got up to 14 deg. We went into a lobster factory and decided to get our lobster dinner for tonight. Instead of buying the whole lobster which is a bit messy opening them, we brought 1lb of flesh only which is four medium size lobsters.
Still passing alot of red dirt fields all ready to sow their crops. I think mainly potatoes.
Me and the station master
Went to the train museum in Elmira. Trains used to run all
over PEI but that has long finished. They use the track now for walking
biking and snow mobiles. The lass at the museum told us t that recently some girls walked the length of the whole
Island in 12 days from the west to east.

Back to Charlottetown at 5.00pm. Big day but at least the sun came out but they are forecasting rain tomorrow but that can always change.
There seems to be a lot of rain over Eastern US and Canada at the moment.
TV news has just said that average temperatures in this area are 21deg. and we are having between 12/14deg. predicting cloudy tomorrow but next day sunny all day. The day we are travelling.
