June 13 2011 Charlottetown P.E.I. Via south coast.

Food we brought back to our unit for dinner yummy.
Later having dinner in the unit.

Look at this lobster it was so delicious.
Sorry Joe you will think this is disgusting.

Can't remember if I sent a photo of our black beast

Rained all day. As we didn't take a photo of the Federation bridge when we arrived on the Island, passed it again today but can't even see it but will give you an idea the length of it if you look close enough. Maybe we will get another chance to go back.  Although it  would take awhile to get there so probably won't.

I took a photo of a photo to give you a better idea of 13kms of bridge.Look right in the background where it turns around.

Below-trying to show the red beach and cliffs but too much rain to get the colour.

Did only 76 miles today. Left Warn house B.& B at 9.45am after another great breakfast. Salmon, egg Benedict, started with fruit salard and porridge.

Raining all day and they were forcasting showers for the next four days but now say we might see a little sun tomorrow. Here's hoping. When we left Summerside We did the central south touring route. The island is divided into three different touring routes. East cape  north cape and west coast and central divided into north and south coasts.   South coast is the red coast as sand soil and cliffs are all red but couldn't really get photos due to rain. Went to a quaint little place called Victoria. Would have liked to spend some time there but again just moved on due to rain. Took us about 3 3/4 hours.

Arrived in Charlottetown checked in early at 1.00pm unloaded and took off to downtown. Rain looked like it was easing  so went for a walk. Bad idea got soaked, and the temperature was only 13 degrees. We see that it is16/17 back home.  A bit of a shock after all the heat we have had. Dad keeps up with all the news by reading the herald on line.

Wet through went into the fisheries shop and brought two lobsters eight dollars each cooked and cracked, along with some seafood chowder. Stopped at the supermarket got veges  and salard and headed back to our unit which feels nice and roomy after our B.&B. room. We are staying at the Canadian best value Inn and suites which we hadn't try before. Bit worried what it would be like but it is very nice with kitchenette.

Cooked asparagrass and PEI potatos in their skin in the microwave and had them with our salard and lobster, I forgot to say had a few crab legs. You can imagine this all over the unit table. Everything was so nice even the salard was sweater than home,Yummy asparagrass and the local spud was so different.

Des can you tell Ga that we have been posting postcards to her but there has been a postal strike in Canada for ten days so she probably won't get them. Let us know.

We have heard about poor old Christchurch it is on the TV news here. Terrible.

Jen and Adam great that you are pleased with your kitchen  its getting all very exciting. We will notice such a difference.

Quite cold now 9.00pm and Pete wants his trackies. Hes got the heater so high I am just about to expire but it is drying the washing which is hanging all over the place.

Sorry about all the unusual spaces tonight. I must have done something but don't know what. Can't seem to fix it.
