Can't speak high enough of the staff and the Hotel Pur. We find that the Canadians everywhere we have been are very friendly and helpful.
As we left town we caught the ferry in Lower Old Town to cross the waters which probably saved about 20 kms instead of going over the bridge.
While waiting for the ferry took the above photo from lower town looking up to old town at the Chateau Frontenac old hotel which seems to appear in a lot of my photos.
After a cloudy and misty day yesterday we woke up to a perfect sunny day. Would have been perfect but had to leave today unfortuately.
As we left by ferry looking back at Upper and Lower Old Town. You can just see the cable car we went on between the trees which runs people between upper and lower.
Below looking up back on the hill at the Military
Compound and the Govt. General's residence. Great spot. The boats in the forground are the icebreakers they use to break the ice when the river freezes over as the big ships come right up to Quebec City. Including cruise liners although none there while we were there.
Beautiful church behind our Hotel which I took just before we left.
As we left I was wondering how highway 20 would be as it was terrible as we hit Quebec State and through Montreal to Quebec city the other day although to be fare they were doing major roadworks. It was much better condition north of Quebec City and green trees and rolling hills much prettier drive. Roads were a liitle rough on Quebec State side but once crossed over to New Brunswick much improvement.
We arrived at St Andre at 2.00pm and checked in to our hotel for one night which I call a sleep over. Bigger driving day tomorrow. Once we hit PEI we will have five nights on the Island. Our half way slow down time. Although I guess we will still do alot of driving and exploring.
Above Photo was some more Falls at St Andre.
